My Dehumidifier is not collecting any waterUpdated 10 months ago

If your Dehumidifier is not collecting any water, there may be several potential causes for this issue.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check the Set Humidity Level:

    • Make sure that the Dehumidifier is set to a humidity level that is higher than the current room humidity. If the set level is too low, the dehumidifier may not activate.
  2. Verify Proper Sizing:

    • Ensure that the Dehumidifier is appropriately sized for the room it's placed in. If it's too small for the area's size or humidity levels, it may not effectively remove moisture.
  3. Clean the Air Filter:

    • A dirty or clogged air filter can restrict airflow and reduce the Dehumidifier's efficiency. Check the filter and clean it according to the instruction manual.
  4. Check for Ice Built-up:

    • If the room temperature is very low, the evaporator coils in the Dehumidifier may freeze, preventing water collection. Turn off the Dehumidifier and let it thaw if ice has formed.
  5. Position the Dehumidifier:

    • Place the Dehumidifier in an area with high humidity levels, such as a basement or a bathroom. If it's in a relatively dry room, it may not collect much moisture.
  6. Run the Dehumidifier Longer:

    • If the room's relative humidity is only slightly above the set level, it may take some time before the Dehumidifier starts collecting water. Let it run continuously for a while to see if it begins to collect moisture.
